TidyTabs - Group windows on tabs
If you can't work with too many windows on your screen, you can use TidyTabs to make your life easier. The application gives you the possibility of grouping multiple windows on tabs. If you have two or more windows on your screen, you can just grab them and make a single window with multiple tabs. This way, you can turn a messy desktop into a well organized work environment in no time.
The application is compatible with all popular Windows versions. It comes in a small package and it can be installed quickly, without making and advanced settings. There are no special requirements you have to meet and you don't need to sacrifice too many resources.
Once you run the application, you will be able to group windows on tabs on the fly. All you have to do is hover with the mouse cursor over a window's title bar. You can just drag that tab over another window's title bar to create a single windows with multiple tabs, in the same way you would with a browser's tabs.
The best part is that you can do this with different kinds of windows. You can have Windows Explorer, browsers and other programs on a single window, on separate tabs. Speaking of browsers, if you group browser windows, their tabs will become sub-tabs.
The application has a general settings menu, which can be accessed through a system tray icon. You can tweak the transparency of tabs, preview opacity and more. Also, the application lets you set up exclusions, if you don't want to group windows from certain applications.
While TidyTabs, you will be able to transform large clutters of windows into an efficient work environment, with only a few clicks.
